Taking into account the new dimension that was to be given to the Tournament and once the experiences of the first two editions had been analysed, in 2007 the Club Deportivo Elemental Portus Victoriae was founded to organize the III Ciudad de Santander Tournament, giving it an International character (in hereinafter III/IV/V/VI TIBCS) Sub 14.
On June 17, the tournament was presented at the Santander City Council. Both from the Mayor’s Office and the Department of Sports, represented by the former international handball player Luis Morante, they turned to promote said TIBCS, making Santander’s Plaza Porticada its nerve center, where 13 of the 48 games were played, including those from 3rd to 6th places and the final, televised by Popular Television, with the victory for the third consecutive year of Real Madrid against Barcelona by 87-73, with the madridista Kiko Giménez being elected the MVP, scoring 35 points with two Spectacular dunks, which brought to their feet the public that filled the entire Plaza Porticada.
As in this central court, the other venues (pavilions of the University, Municipal de Cueto and Colegio Agustinos) had a wide reception from the public, with special reference to the relatives and friends of Armani Milan.
The Tournament was played between June 24 and 29, 2008.
